About Prometheus Publishers
Prometheus publishes a wide variety of quality fiction and non-fiction titles. Our catalogue balances established talents with new voices that we introduce into the literary market. Connie Palmen’s literary masterpiece Your Story, My Story about Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath continues to attract international attention with over a dozen translations and Lale Gül’s bestseller I Will Live will be published in German, French, Italian, English and Slovenian. We also represent other internationally successful fiction authors such as Griet Op de Beeck, Astrid Roemer, Tim Krabbé and Kader Abdolah.
In terms of non-fiction, Prometheus offers exciting new insights into a wide range of disciplines such as history, psychology, physics and literary studies. Joke Hermsen’s philosophical essay Turning the Tide has been translated into six languages so far and Eveline Crone’s groundbreaking The Adolescent Brain has altered parents’ and teachers’ perspective on teenagers from China to Russia and from Italy to Germany. Recently, the astonishing biography of Jo van Gogh-Bonger by Hans Luijten, researcher at the Van Gogh Museum, was published in English with more translations and a limited series adaptation yet to come.
